So Tate and Tyler talked about having jet packs for several months.  There was talk about which grandparent had the most money to buy one for them.  When I came across an idea on Pinterest on how to make my own I knew I had to do it.  I repinned and started saving supplies.  I was sure Tate and Tyler would be super excited and they thought they were neat for about 5 minutes then they were off doing something else.  When Cole woke up from his nap he turned out to be the one so excited for his jet pack.  Here are how they turned out.

 I made the mistake of taking off the jet pack and Cole let me know his displeasure of that so back on it went and we made our way around the block.  He really rocked it!

How Time Flies!

Wow!  Here we are already halfway into 2012!!!  Our family has changed so much.  We have added another sweet boy and are loving every moment with him.  Tate is 5 and is getting ready for Kindergarten.  We are looking forward to the new adventure!

Yes, he is asleep. I was trying to have a piano lesson, but he could hear his friends and wanted to come play instead of nap. After about an hour he finally gave up.

It's been a while

Hi. It has been a while since I have been back on the blog. Here's what has been going on. In March we picked up and moved 8 miles north, yes farther north, and have been busy getting settled in. We found a really good deal on a foreclosure, but there has been alot of work involved. We are still missing a light in our bathroom which is sometimes a good thing! We enjoyed a few months break from church callings but we were soon put back to work. Scott was called as the 11 year old Scout master and he has loved it. He has 5 boys spending the night tonight. Payoff for the bribe of wearing their shirts to Scout meetings. They are great boys and it is fun to see Tate spend time with them. I was put back in YW's as the Mia Maid advisor and then a few months later called as YW President. We are getting ready for Young Women in Excellence. Tate is getting bigger and older every day. He continues to be the greatest joy in our lives and we are blessed to have him.

Christmas

What a fun Christmas we had with Tate this year. It is amazing how slow it seems to take to come and how fast it is over. So much preparation for one day, but what a day! We were so excited to see Tate open his presents and of course he slept until 8:30. Scott wanted to wake him up, but we knew the most important thing was for him to be well rested so we would all enjoy the day! Scott had the video camera set up so we could record Tate come around the corner and seeing his Santa presents. He came to a complete stop when he saw Elmo and got a big smile. His favorite present was a set of cups that he could drink out of like a "big boy" and another set of cups to play with in the sink. The simple things in life that capture his attention! We hope all of you had as fun of a day as we did.

Tate got a fuzzy backpack with a monkey. We immediately had to start running around the island pulling it behind us.
